December 2011
This has been said so many times
That I’m not sure if it matters
This has been said so many times
That I’m not sure if it matters
I know this hurts, it was meant to
Your secret’s out and the best part is it isn’t even a good one
And it’s mind over, (you don’t), don’t, don’t, don’t matter
From day one I talked about getting out
But not forgetting about how all my worst fears are letting out
He said, “Why put a new address on the same old loneliness?”
When breathing just passes the time
Until we all just get old and die
Now talking’s just a waste of breath
And living’s just a waste of death
And why put a new address on the same old loneliness?
And this is you and me and me and you
Until we’ve got nothing left
- Get Busy Living or Get Busy Dying: Fall Out Boy
for the fact that today, my family is planning on how to help my aunt, instead of planning her funeral. We were so close from losing her. Now we just have to make a plan to improve her mental health. We are all trying to be as positive as we can be and focusing on our next move and how to keep her 10 year old son Zachary happy and as unaffected from this almost-tragedy as we can.
The other day, Zachary looked at my uncle and said, “Dad, we are supposed to write a story about what happened over our Christmas break when we get back to school. What am I supposed to write about?” This really broke my heart and made me really cry and think about how precious life is and how much mental health can affect people.
One a better note, my dads sister Cindy who I haven’t seen since I was 12, invited me over to her house to celebrate Christmas with her family for a little bit. It was really amazing. She was so nice to me, and I got to spend some time with my cousin/brother Patrick and his family and new addition, 6 month old Savannah who was attached to me the whole night. She’s my little sunshine.
All in all, I am so thankful that things didn’t end up as bad as they could have been. I celebrated an amazing Christmas with my family and got a lot of goodies! Getting ready to drive a long drive to Maryland in the A.M. Really excited.
God Bless you all! I hope Santa is good to all of you!
XOXOXOX
